On August 28, 2025, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) published a proposed rule to modify the length of stay for international students in the U.S. on an F1 student status. This proposal was open for public comment until September 29th, 2025. Now DHL will revise all feedback received and will make updates to the rule, if necessary, before publishing the final rule.
